The FEI World Cup in jumping and dressage.

The FEI World Cup is a season of qualifying competitions in regional leagues, ending in a Final where the jumping and dressage champions are decided. The 2026 Finals in Fort Worth, Texas, are finished. The 2026-27 season began in October 2026 and runs to a Final in Gothenburg in March 2027, so it has no champion yet.

How the series works

Equestrian Australia, on an undated page, says the Jumping World Cup runs 13 leagues across all continents, with the top riders from each league invited to the Final; British Dressage says CDI-W shows are Dressage World Cup qualifiers. Under the FEI Jumping World Cup Rules for 2025-26, as summarised in search results, the top 18 athletes of the Western European League qualified for the Final; we have not confirmed whether that number holds for 2026-27. US Equestrian publishes a separate North American League calendar.

Wikipedia dates the start of the series to 1978 in jumping, 1985 in dressage, 2001 in driving and 2010 in vaulting, and records an eventing World Cup that ran from 2003 to 2012. Search summaries of Chronicle of the Horse and Dressage News reports say the first Jumping World Cup Final was held in Gothenburg in 1979 and the first Dressage World Cup Final there in 1989. The British Dressage timeline gives 1986 for the introduction of the Dressage World Cup. We have not reconciled the 1985, 1986 and 1989 dressage dates, and the Final dates are unconfirmed.

Fort Worth, April 2026 (finished)

Both Finals were held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The dates differ slightly: one search summary gives 7 to 12 April 2026 and Wikipedia's infobox gives 8 to 12 April.

  • Jumping: Kent Farrington and Greya won on four faults over the week, his first World Cup Final title. Daniel Deusser (Germany) and Otello de Guldenboom were second, and Katie Dinan (USA) and Out of the Blue SCF third on nine (US Equestrian release headlines and summaries via search; Wikipedia). Search summaries of 2026 reports add that the win took the USA to 12 Jumping World Cup Final titles, two more than Germany, and that the defending champion, Epaillard, did not travel; we could not open those reports, so both points are unconfirmed.
  • Dressage: Becky Moody and Jagerbomb won the Freestyle with 88.330% on the Saturday evening, which by the report's date was 11 April 2026 (Horse Times Egypt, 12 April 2026). Wikipedia gives second place to Christian Simonson (USA) and Indian Rock on 83.810% and third to Sandra Sysojeva (Poland) and Maxima Bella on 80.770%.

Basel, April 2025

At the St Jakobshalle, Charlotte Fry and Glamourdale won the dressage Freestyle with 88.195%, ahead of Isabell Werth (Germany) and DSP Quantaz on 84.365% and Isabel Freese (Norway) and Total Hope OLD on 81.850% (British Dressage). Search summaries of Horse Illustrated and Chronicle of the Horse give the jumping Final to Julien Epaillard and Donatello d'Auge; we did not read those reports directly.

Riyadh, April 2024

Search summaries of Horse Network and Wikipedia describe the 2024 Finals, held from 16 to 20 April, as the first Jumping and Dressage World Cup Finals in the Middle East, and give Henrik von Eckermann and King Edward their second consecutive jumping title. A search summary of a Chronicle of the Horse photo caption gives the dressage to Patrik Kittel and Touchdown with 81.66%, his first Final title. None of these was read directly.

The 2026-27 season (in progress)

The Western European League of the jumping series opened in Oslo from 7 to 11 October 2026, and the dressage season began in Herning, Denmark, from 15 to 18 October 2026 (Gothenburg Horse Show, 8 October 2026). Standings change event by event, and neither series has a champion yet.

The FEI Board allocated the 2027 Jumping, Dressage and Vaulting World Cup Finals to Gothenburg, Sweden (Horse Sport, 7 May 2025). The dates differ by source: the Gothenburg Horse Show gives 22 to 28 March 2027 at Scandinavium for the Finals as a whole, and US Equestrian's North American League listing, in a search summary, gives 24 to 28 March 2027 for the jumping Final.

Team jumping has its own series, the Longines League of Nations, covered on Nations Cup. How jumping and dressage are scored is on the show jumping and dressage pages.
